Farm like you have a personal grudge against the outdoors.

as for farming there are any number of fast farm spots that can make ya good money. time spent farmin = money made farmin. north kryta, raptors outside rata sum riven earth side, vaettirs in jaga moraine.. these are all good spots to farm. just find a place that matches the build you can run. but as i said TIME SPENT FARMING = MONEY MADE. soloing is really the way to pile up platinum fast.

some others may have some ideas that would be quicker, those are the few i use when i need a quick 100k.

Listen to him.

Even though the permasin was nerfed somewhat, it's still effective. Use it.

Buying low, selling high, a lot. And by a lot, I mean a lot. If you aren't making a trade a minute, you're doing it wrong.

If that doesn't appeal to you farming is your best bet. Whenever you get a gold drop, try just selling it for cash. 7 unidentified golds can be sold easily enough in most common areas for 5k flat. Also, farm extra on weekends where party/booze/sweet stuff drops. Those can be sold for 100-150g each, depending on how patient you are.

If you go "sell 7 unid" golds way, make sure you test them for interesting mods (30 hp is easy to see and worth it)

go farm ectos in Underworld - they are the most expensive part of the FOW armor by far.... there are plenty of good builds and advice on the Campfire Thread of these forums.

Join one of the Ursan parties for a full run of the Domain of Anguish. You will need to bring a consumables set but the number of gemstones you get will be worth it. Continue until you have around 15 of each anguish gemstone, buy a few missing gems and craft an Armbrace of Truth. In this way you can get quite some money + ecto in a relatively short time.

well you should have farmed UW with a perma sin like half of the guild wars community to get your ectos that would have taken maybe 2-3 days if you got decent but other than that i made all my cash from power trading go to spamadan or LA look around for some good deals buy the item sell for a nice profit fastest way to make money in guild wars in my opinion but you also have to have at least a good 100-150k to start investing your money

I don't know if you have a monk or a sin, but you can always play smite runs as a smiter on your ranger with a 600 friend. You'll have 12 in smite, but that's still enough to do fast runs. I helped some ele friends this way.

One run takes between 9-15 minutes and you'll get 1-2 ectos on average each run. Some runs you'll get nothing. Don't be surprised if you're in zero drop streak for 4 runs. Once in a while you'll get 4-5 ectos. After a couple of hours you'll both have around 10 ectos.

To get the shards, I would play DoA full run HM. Sell the gemsets or armbrace and buy the shards.

Powertrading requires a good deal of knowledge of the market, so if you're not into it, it's not worth the trouble if you're just looking to get fow armor and play on.

Also keep your eye on newly found builds and spots that bring insane cash at start, until everyone starts doing it and it completely devalues. The Elemental Sword Farm, Colossal Farm, Chaos Plains are examples which could net you a fow armor in 3 days before nerf.

Also you can open up a service and run people. Things that i've noticed that are wanted a lot are EotN handbooks, so you could max your titles along running them and earn tons of cash doing it.

I solo trapped the vast majority of the ecto's I needed for my ranger's Obsidian. Then I solo'ed the mobs in the forest part of fow for the shards. But that was before Anet took a sledgehammer to EW.
